About Dallas North Tollway
The Dallas North Tollway (locally just "the Tollway" or "DNT") is a 30-mile tolled freeway running from the eastern edge of Uptown Dallas up through Addison and Plano to Frisco. It's operated by NTTA and is one of the most heavily-used commuter routes in north Texas.

Why Breakdowns Happen Here
Heavy daily commuter traffic plus the long stretches between exits make the Tollway a frequent breakdown spot. Common situations:
- Out of fuel โ exits are spaced miles apart in the northern stretches
- Overheating in summer congestion near the Belt Line and PGBT interchanges
- Flat tires from debris in the express lanes
- Fender-benders near the major interchanges
